Hi, my name J.P de Paiva and I am Master student in Technology Enhanced Communication for Cultural Heritage (TEC-CH) at the University of Lugano. My background is multidisciplinary: computer science, graphic design and communication.
Currently, I am working on my thesis which runs under the title of “Dissemination of Knowledge and Culture on the Web 2.0: a case for Brazilian Music.” Here I explore the possibilities for the promotion and discovery of music on the so-called “Web 2.0″: social networks, blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, and the likes.
My research methodology, apart from traditional bibliography, makes large use of the same artifacts, specially RSS feeds and social bookmarking.
